The stove can be tricky. However, once you brew a few times you'll know exactly what to set it on and how much time your going to have.

Congrats on the bubbling fermenter! It's always amazing to see one bubbling. After you get a chance to sample it, would you maybe want to do a first time homebrewers interview for the site?

Let me know and I can get ya more info!

Thanks for the comment.

Happy Brewing.

Mike

I go the brewing starter kit from midwest supplies http://www.midwestsupplies.com/brewing-starter-...

It seemed to me the best value for my money. I have received and eagerly started making the American Wheat Ale recipe from the first episode of Brewing TV. A very good site if you haven't checked it out already.

The first brew went well. I misjudged the timing on a few things, like how long it would take to boil water on my pitiful electric stove top. In the end though, I still made beer. My fermenter is bubbling away in my closet at this very moment. I've already got plans to make a hard sweet tea for the 4th of July and I'm just waiting on my supplies to be shipped.

Thanks for the wishes. We just got back yesterday!

I've yet to use a Mr.Beer kit. A friend of mine is using it and loves it. He wants to come check out my setup though. I'm curious, which kit did you order? Have you got it yet?

Keep me up dated! I love hearing about peoples brewing sessions!

Thanks for the comment.

Mike

Thanks for the offer. I'm anxiously waiting for my new starter kit to come in so I can get started on a 5 gallon batch. Had my first homebrewing experience with Mr. Beer and loved it.

Have fun in Japan!
