Brewery Highlight Series – Redhook Ales
Posted on July 12, 2010 by mike
I am extremely excited to introduce a new feature to Mike’s Brew Review, the “Brewery Highlight Series.” In short, this new feature really digs into one particular brewery to find out more about the past, present and future. There is always a great story behind the brewery and I am on a quest to bring that history to life again through research, interviews, photography and brew reviews. Like I said before, I’m excited to bring you through the journey.
Mike’s Brew Review is proud to bring you Redhook Ales as the first ever brewery to participate in the “Brewery Highlight Series.” Redhook Ales has been around almost 30 years but in that short amount of time a lot of interesting stories have unfolded. I personally believe Redhook ignited the craft beer revolution and changed the way craft beer business was done for the years to come. Over the next couple of weeks we will be exploring Redhook Ales, from their amazing beginning from two brilliant marketing minds, through their immense expansion and controversial A/B deal, right into what they are doing today to keep themselves at the top of the craft beer food chain.
I really hope you enjoy this series on Redhook. I think its important to know more about the breweries, brewers and their work to better understand the beer we take for granted everyday.
Here is a taste of what is going to be coming up, STARTING TOMORROW!
Redhook Ales – Anything Can Happen If You Put Your Mind To It
Redhook Ales – A Craft Beer Revolutionary
Redhook Ales – The Glass Is Half Full
Interview with Greg Duehs (Brewery Plant Manager)
Interview with Kim Brusco (Brewing Manager)
Interview with Doug MacNair (Brewery Plant Manager)
Brew Review of their famous ESB, Copperhook, Longhammer IPA, Winterhook, Ropeswing, Treblehook and the amazing Expedition 8-4-1 Ale.
I have to give a special thanks ahead of time to Ted Lane of Redhook and his marketing team for helping me in my research and setting up interviews with some of the most talented brewers in the world. They were first rate in the Redhook Ale Brewery Highlight Series process.
If your brewery would like to participate in a Brewery Highlight Series please feel free to contact me.
